Mr and Mrs J A Pye's Charitable Settlement was established in 1966. In its early years the Settlement's principal asset was a shareholding in the Pye building company. Although it no longer holds any shares in the company, the Trustees still feel that there is some interest in the areas in which it operated. In making grants, the Trustees are guided by the Settlement's Vision:
"That the Settlement establishes itself as a major independent source of funding for charitable causes in Oxfordshire and its surrounds with the result that the Pye name continues to be associated with benevolence within the County."
